A few days ago when passing by the Jinsha River, on the other side of the Jinsha River was a majestic and tall mountain, with a meandering path extending towards the top of the mountain, just like a white ribbon floating down from the sky. The tour guide said that it was the former Tea-Horse Ancient Road.
A picture of the ancients appeared in front of them. After crossing the turbulent Jinsha River, they had to climb over the mountain opposite. The guide said that this road could only accommodate one caravan to go in one direction. If one caravan was going up the mountain and one caravan was going down the mountain, they must ring the bell to indicate before going up or down the mountain. If unfortunately they met in the middle of the mountain road, the horse could not turn around and the horse would not back up either. They would have to push one of the horses off the cliff. But which side would make the sacrifice? They agreed to take the size of the property carried by the horse as the principle, and the side with less property would have to push the horse off the cliff. This principle is reasonable, but it is also too cruel. The hardships of the ancients in doing trade are unimaginable to modern people. They trekked thousands of mountains and rivers just to promote their tea. How lucky we modern people are, with airplanes, trains and ships. But why? My tea hasn’t gone abroad yet. Thinking about it is really embarrassing.
Sighing at the hardships of the ancients, but when looking up, the scenery is so magnificent! Ancestors, did this beautiful landscape ever make you stop? I really want to take the reins of the horse and walk into this paradise-like scenery.
